It's been over two years since I last posted anything on this dear sweet blog of mine.  I've been sitting on several  "eggs" that hatched quite nicely walhamdullilah. Inshallah, I will slowly make my way back and pray that Allah will guide me in my writings  and post as to benefit the Ummah of Muhammad  salallahu  alaihi  wasalam.

An outfit a day

Hello. Since back to school season has kicked in I have been EXTREMELY  busy and the only sewing I have been doing lately is for my daughter.  I bought a bunch of fabric with the plans of making her winter clothes  instead of buying them from the store.  I will try to make her one outfit per dat until I run out of fabric inshallah and I would like to take you guys along this journey with me!

It is fall and instead of going out to the store and buying clothes for my little girl I have decided to try to make some, if not all of her clothing of the winter.  It is difficult finding modest clothing for little girls, especially if they're a lil chuncky!  I have been trolling the internet looking for some clothes to knock off and I think I have found the perfect cotton shirts.

I love cotton button up tunics, especially on little girls.  I think it is can be very covering and very flattering especially if you have them in a solid color.  Here are some of the shirts that I want to TRY and copy.  I'll let yall know how it goes inshallah.

They are all by J. Crew, which has the cutest clothing but man are they pricey!  I have five kids so um...no...I ain't shoppin there no time soon. They say imitation is the best form of flattery right!

Getting ready for fall

I found some wonderful flannel on sale at Joanns for $2.99 per yard.  Needless to say I took full advantage of the sale. In the next tutorial i will be drafting a pattern for a girls knit and flannel night gown.  Inshallah

Flare Skirt tutuorial up!

Salamu alaikum you guys and Hello to all it applies!  Soooooo, I have just uploaded my flare skirt tutorial for little girls.  Yeah!! (I'ms super hype)  Hope you guys likie.  This pattern can be done for women as well just take your measurements and then follow the same instructions as in the tutorial.  

Note: I like to use parchment paper for making patterns for my little ones, but if you are looking for something bigger you can get a roll of drafting paper.

Niqab tutorial finished!!!
